Eureka Springs

One of our first adventures outside Little Rock was to Eureka Springs up in the Ozarks. It was a gorgeous drive and we were so surprised to find an amazing Victorian town nestled onto the side of a big hill with cobblestone streets and a trolley. There were cute shops and restaurants and a cool old steam engine train that took us on a ride next to a babbling brook. Artists sold their stuff and musicians sat on the street playing their guitars and fiddles and singers sang in the central park. Best of all we found this very fun REAL caboose out in the woods that had been converted to a small suite that we were able to stay in...even the dog was allowed. Simon thought it was the coolest thing ever to have his own train!! It was so exciting for us to realize that such fun places were only a short drive away...
